Output Balancing Unit PCB |
| |
| |
The PCB is intended for "balancing"
and increasing the gain of unbalanced audio equipment.
Each PCB has an integral dual Phono socket for the
unbalanced input and either XLR or IDC connections
for the balanced outputs.
All connectors are in a row, in the same plane, thus
allowing easy mounting of the PCB. If the non XLR
version is chosen then the output signal will appear
internally on the 10 way(2x5) 0.1" IDC type header.
The power to the board is supplied via another 10
way IDC header thus allowing power to be bussed along
several boards.
Ideally a supply of +/-15v should be used, although
the board will operate from lower voltages.
The gain of each board is adjustable, up to +20dB,
these presets are adjusted from the same edge of the
PCB as the connectors.

Balanced to Unbalanced TXF PCB |

The PCB is intended for converting
balanced audiio feeds to unbalanced, and reducing
their gain, allowing "domestic" audio equipment
to be used in a balanced environment.
Stereo Balanced audio, input on 3 pin PCB mout XLRs,
to be fed, via a pair of attenuators and high quality
isolating transformers, to gold plated phono/cinch
output connectors. A preset is provided for adjustment
of each attenuator, accessible from the same edge
of the board as the connectors. All connectors are
on the same plane along the edge of the PCB making
mounting the board easier.
Please note that the unit is passive, no PSU is required.
